From the moment she started dating Kanye West in spring 2012, her style was quickly transformed. Previously a fan of brash, shiny brights, Kardashian now sticks to neutrals (like her favourite camel coat) , and usually picks one shade to wear head to toe. (A notable exception: that full length floral Givenchy number she wore to the Met Ball, with gloves to match.)
Perhaps even more radically, she also appears to have changed her hair colour for West . "He was a big cheerleader for her to go blonde," said her colourist George Papanikolas.
Kardashian is not the first woman to dress for her partner. After splitting from her four-inches-shorter husband Tom Cruise in 2001, Nicole Kidman gleefully told David Letterman, "I can wear heels now." The formerly bohemian Carla Bruni faced the same challenge when she became first lady to French President Nicholas Sarkozy in 2008, opting for ballet flats that she wore with newly demure Dior.
