And on the season finale of her family reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloe Kardashian explored the status of her relationship with Lamar Odom. The two have been making headlines for their marital challenges.

"I'm at war with myself. I want to help him. But then, maybe sometimes the best help is stepping away? And I just feel like I might need some more help," Khloe said on the show.

From the moment she started dating Kanye West in spring 2012, her style was quickly transformed. Previously a fan of brash, shiny brights, Kardashian now sticks to neutrals (like her favourite camel coat) , and usually picks one shade to wear head to toe. Perhaps even more radically, she also appears to have changed her hair colour for West . "He was a big cheerleader for her to go blonde," said her colourist George Papanikolas.

Kardashian is not the first woman to dress for her partner. After splitting from her four-inches-shorter husband Tom Cruise in 2001, Nicole Kidman gleefully told David Letterman, "I can wear heels now." The formerly bohemian Carla Bruni faced the same challenge when she became first lady to French President Nicholas Sarkozy in 2008, opting for ballet flats that she wore with newly demure Dior.
