Obesity in Essex has become a huge problem just like it has across the whole of the UK. More and more people are now worried about obesity and seeking help to lose weight. According to a new report, the number of people having Gastric Band Surgery in Essex has more than doubled compared to 2009/10.
In 2009/10 only 22 people had weight loss surgery but in 2011/12 this figure more than doubled and 50 weight loss patients had a gastric band fitted to help them to lose weight.
