Marine Vacth never set out to be a model or an actress, but it just happens that she is supremely talented at both professions.

As of Friday you can catch the 23-year-old Parisienne in the independent French film Jeune et Jolie, which was nominated for the Palme d'Or at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

There's no doubt that Vacth embodies the film's title (Young and Beautiful) and that her performance as a 17-year-old prostitute is mesmering - and due to the film's subject nature, rather haunting.
