Miranda Lambert: 'I did not have surgery to lose weight'

Miranda Lambert has blasted claims she had surgery to slim down.

The country star faced was rumored to have sought help in losing a dress size recently, but assured fans her new body is down to her own hard work.

She wrote on her blog: ''Though I NEVER care what the tabloids have to say about me... I wanted to address this certain story they are running this week and set the record straight.

''I DID NOT have surgery to lose weight. That is ridiculous. I lost my weight the healthy and good old fashioned way. Watching what I eat and working out with my trainer Bill Crutchfield. (sic)''

The 'Mama's Broken Heart' singer - who is married to fellow country star Blake Shelton - added she wasn't even counting how many pounds she lost, and wasn't get healthy to please anyone but herself.

She added: ''As for the assumed number of pounds lost...? I don't even know! Like I have always said, it's not about a scale, it's about how you feel and how your jeans fit.

''And on November 10th when I turned 30, my skinny jeans were finally baggy! Mission accomplished!

''So for anyone who is tempted to read the 'Trash Talk' please don't. I am proud to be a normal size girl and I want to encourage everyone to be confident at any size. Thanks for the support yall!''

Miranda has recently been confirmed she will appear on the next series of 'The Voice', but rather than help her husband - who is a mentor and judge on the show - she'll be joining Shakira's team to help coach contestants.

Amy Robach Recovers from Surgery, Says Cancer Had Spread

ABC News correspondent Amy Robach is thankful she decided to undergo a bilateral mastectomy after discovering she had breast cancer.

In an open letter posted on ABC.com on Friday, Robach explained it was only through the surgery that her doctor found a second, previously undetected malignancy. "I got very lucky. No MRI, no mammogram, no sonogram had found it.”

Michelle Pfeiffer won't rule out cosmetic surgery

Michelle Pfeiffer is ageing gracefully, but losing her youth hasn't come without the mourning process the 55-year-old admitted in an interview with the Telegraph's Stella magazine.

"There's this transition from 'Wow, she looks really young for her age,' to 'She looks great for her age.' And there's a big difference. I'm now at, 'She looks great for her age," she tells Stella.

"There is definitely a mourning process to that. But, you know it's kind of liberating. I don't need to look younger than I am, because it ain't gonna change anything." And that's a welcome, and liberating, change from the Hollywood norm for us; Pfeiffer may still be undeniably beautiful, but she doesn't however defy her years.

But, explains the American beauty, who first appeared on our screens in Scarface as the slinky blonde back in 1983, the "loss of youth, the loss of beauty - it definitely plays havoc with your psyche."

And with that, apparently your stance on cosmetic surgery. While Pfeiffer swears she hasn't yet fallen pray to the lure of Botox of fillers yet, she's open to the idea of a little surgery. "I used to think I would never have surgery but it's really hard to say never. I'm in the 'never say never' camp now," she says.
