Batman Bromance? Christian Bale Gives Props to Ben Affleck

Getty Images Christian Bale hung up his Batman cape last year after the “Dark Knight Rises,” and now he’s ready to "pass the mantle" to Ben Affleck. The “Out of the Furnace” star had only kind words for Ben, who will star in the new “Batman vs. Superman.”

When "Extra's" Renee Bargh asked how Bale felt about Ben landing the part, he replied, “Good for him!”

Bale added, “He’s a really experienced actor and filmmaker and he’ll do a great job… it was time to pass the mantle to someone else, as it should be. It has always been the case with Batman. I’m sure they will do a fantastic job with it.”
